Portals to Memory Mural at El Segundo Library

The piece incorporates various landscapes present in Tongva territories, while celebrating the beauty of wonder and our innate need to create objects that are reflective of what we see in nature.

As part of the 2024 Art Walk, Portals to Memory now features an augmented reality animation!

Painting & Field Guide by Linsay Carron: Located above the elevator in the lower level of the El Segundo Public Library, artist Lindsay Carron’s painting “California Native Species Garden” invites a deeper dive into the native plant species in the garden, and their importance to the ecosystem that depend on them. Accompanying Carron’s painting is the “Field Guide to El Segundo Native Species,” featuring original sketches, facts and activities based on native species to El Segundo. This field guide is available for FREE at the library!
