We Heard You! Traffic Enforcement Gets a Boost
In the City's annual Net Promoter Survey, both residents and businesses expressed the importance of increased traffic enforcement. As a direct result of your feedback, traffic enforcement will be expanding on the streets of El Segundo.
The El Segundo Police Department was recently awarded a $70,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) that will support the police department's ongoing enforcement and education programs to help reduce the number of serious injuries and deaths on our roads.
“This funding will strengthen our commitment to traffic safety in our community,” Chief Jaime Bermudez said. “We will be able to increase our efforts in making our roads safer for everyone and focus on critical areas such as distracted driving, impaired driving and speeding.”
For more information about the grant, read the full press release here.
Thank you for your feedback! It helps the City ensure we are meeting the community's needs.

Speaking of community feedback, keep an eye out for the 2024 Net Promoter survey. This two minute survey helps the City measure effectiveness and receive feedback that is incorporated into the City's Strategic Plan every year. This year's Net Promoter surveys will be distributed in mid-February to residents and businesses via email and mail. If you do not receive this year's survey by the end of February, sign up here.
