Local Travel Network Launches in El Segundo Thursday, November 2nd 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG) is launching its South Bay Local Travel Network (LTN) in El Segundo on Thursday, November 2nd at 3:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting on the corner of Main Street and Holly Avenue.
The LTN supports the growing market and local use of personal micromobility—light weight, zero-emission, slow speed vehicles. Such devices include neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs), which appear similar to golf carts, along with e-scooters, e-bikes, one-wheels (electric skateboards) and other personal devices. The route provides safe passage for people to "right size their ride," leading to lower emissions in El Segundo and the greater South Bay.
Look for the blue and green "rolling turtle" signs around the City, which designates the LTN route. For more information, go to the Local Travel Network page of the SBCCOG website.

- Stop sign on Oak & Main Street - increases safety for pedestrians while reducing speeding.
- Online Permitting and new Library Catalog - offering improved online services for more digital access to City Hall.
- Expanded Police Force - Council approved expanding the Police Department head count up to an additional ten officers to meet police staffing needs.
Thank you for your feedback! It helps the City ensure we are meeting the community's needs.
