Please join us at Fire Station No. 1 for a Daddy & Me poetry reading and activity with El Segundo's Poet Laureate Hope Anita Smith and Fire Department Engineer Clayton Holt! Through this event, Smith hopes to celebrate all dads and anyone offering guidance, love, and support to children.

Readers will recite selected poems from Smith's book My Daddy Rules the World. Participants will create their own "Super Dad" poem and have the opportunity to read their special prose aloud. Donuts, milk, juice and coffee will be served. No reservation is required.

This free event, open to all families, is funded by the El Segundo Cultural Development Program and a collaboration between El Segundo Public Library and El Segundo Fire Department.
