El Segundo Public Library Hosts
Summertime, Summertime:
A Community Juried Art Exhibition.
The El Segundo Public Library encourages all individuals who live, work and/or play in El Segundo to submit artwork for Summertime, Summertime: A Community Juried Art Exhibition!
This art show will feature 2-dimensional artwork, including painting, photography, photocollage, photomontage, collage, drawing, printmaking, etc. that celebrates summer.
Show Guidelines
- All submitted artwork MUST be original, finished and hang-ready to participate in the exhibition.
- 2D artwork must NOT be larger than 11 x 14 inches (framed or otherwise.)
- One art submission per participant.
- A completed application MUST accompany the submitted artwork. Application may also be picked up from the Library during open hours.
- Family-friendly subject and any artistic expression are highly encouraged. Images of sexual content or violence will not be considered.
- No artwork shall be removed early before the end of the exhibition without prior written authorization from Cultural Arts Coordinator Sam Lee or Senior Librarian Julie Todd.
When/Where to Submit Artwork
- Submission Deadline: 4:30 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2022
- All submissions must be dropped off at and picked up from Cultural Arts Coordinator Sam Lee's office in the El Segundo Public Library during open hours.
Exhibition Dates and Opening Reception
- Exhibition Dates: Monday, August 22nd to Friday, September 30th, 2022.
- Opening Reception: Thursday, August 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the El Segundo Public Library.
