Firefighter Storytime &
Daddy and Me Poetry, Stories and More!
The El Segundo Public Library and the El Segundo Fire Department are collaborating to bring two exciting programs to the community!
Please join us on Thursday, May 19, at 3:30 p.m. in the Library's Community Room for a very special storytime read by Captain Dennis. Captain Dennis will share firefighter-themed stories. Afterward, children will be able to ask Captain Dennis questions and view the firetruck parked near Library Park!
On Sunday, June 12, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., El Segundo Poet Laureate Hope Anita Smith will join Captain Engler at Fire Station #1 for a Daddy and Me storytime. Captain Engler and Hope Anita Smith will read from Hope's book of poems about dads, My Daddy Rules the World! Children and dads will participate in an age-appropriate poetry activity and craft. Doughnuts, milk, and coffee will be served.
