The El Segundo Police Department has appointed Alex Leavitt as the Sergeant for the Community Engagement Division. In his new role he will oversee the Community Lead Officers, School Resource Officers, and the Crime Prevention Unit.

Protect Yourself Against Auto Theft
Regardless of the year, make or model, every vehicle is a potential target for theft and/or burglary. Authorities recommend a layered approach to protection. The more layers of protection on your vehicle, the more difficult it is to steal.
- Always lock your car, close windows and use your emergency brake
- Remove your keys from vehicle and never leave vehicle running unattended
- Never leave valuables in vehicle or in plain sight
- Park in well-lit areas
- Report suspicious activity - Call 911

Let's give our neighbors at Fairing Place a warm welcome to the Neighborhood Watch community! They had their first block meeting this month, added neighbors to their private Facebook group, and placed Neighborhood Watch stickers to their front windows!
