Temporary City of El Segundo Facility Closures and Suspension of Programs/Activities until January 10, 2022
Due to continuing developments with the spread of the Omicron Variant of COVID-19, the City of El Segundo is announcing temporary program/activity suspension and facility closures from December 28, 2021 until January 10, 2022.
City Hall
Starting December 28, 2021, City Hall and other non-public safety facilities will be temporarily closed to the general public until January 10, 2022. However, City Hall, and other facilities (as listed below), will be open for select services and/or on an appointment basis. Please call (310) 524-2300 for more information or to make an appointment.
El Segundo Public Library - Library to Go
Library to Go (curbside pickup and return of library materials) will be available from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Main Library located at 111 W. Mariposa Ave. Click here for more information.
Winter Camp and Tiny Tot Camps
Winter Camp and Tiny Tot Camps will remain open through Tuesday, December 28th. Camps will be cancelled Wednesday, December 29th and Thursday, December 30th . Refunds will be processed for cancellations.
Champ Camp and Sportball will remain running, weather permitting. Any camp that is cancelled will be refunded.
Joslyn Center, Teen Center, and George E. Gordon Clubhouse
The Joslyn Center, Teen Center and the Clubhouse will be closed.
The Outreach Office, Home-Delivered Meals and Dial-A-Ride will remain operational.
Indoor fitness and recreation classes, meetings, reservations, and social gatherings are suspended.
Checkout Building and Recreation Park
Outdoor areas and the checkout window will remain open.
Recreation Park, including playgrounds, restrooms, tennis and sports courts will remain open.
The checkout window will be open and staffed. Please bring your own sports equipment, as no City equipment will be available for checkout in order to minimize shared use.
Campus El Segundo, El Segundo Wiseburn Aquatics Center, and Skate Park
Campus El Segundo, the Aquatics Center, and Skate Park will remain open.
Please continue to follow recommendations from public health officials:
- Get your vaccination and booster shot.
- Wear a face covering.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- People with underlying health conditions, pregnant women and the elderly should practice social distancing by avoid non-essential travel, public events, community gatherings, and indoor venues.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. If you do not have a tissue, use your sleeve (not your hands).
- Get a flu immunization if you have not done so this season.
