M C

Georgetown Library Funding

• Measure C is the proposed renewal of an existing parcel tax that is set to expire in 2027.
• Measure C will be placed on the ballot for the June 2, 2026 election.
• The existing tax was renewed by voters three times before. The tax has helped fund the Georgetown Library for the past thirty years.
• Proposed is a levy of $25.50 per year per parcel of real property and subject to yearly inflation of no more than 3% to be used only for library services at the Georgetown Library.
• Voting ‘yes’ on Measure C would generate approximately $124,000 annually to fund Georgetown Library services for the next twenty years.
• Voting ‘no’ on Measure C would not extend the existing parcel tax. Without additional funding, Georgetown Library services, hours, and operations will be impacted.
