The Eldorado National Forest is initiating scoping for the Crozier Wildfire Resilience Project in El Dorado County. This project aims to enhance fire resilience through hazardous fuel reduction and reforestation on National Forest System (NFS) lands within the Georgetown Ranger District. The proposed activities would include creating a shaded fuel break along Mosquito Road, forming a continuous fuel break—when coordinated with private fuel breaks—between Swansboro and Quintette.

Comments received by June 7, 2025 will be most helpful to the development of this project.
