Burn Permits Required May 1st

As a reminder, burn permits are required beginning May 1 in the CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit. If you have a burn permit for a debris burn, it's important to do the burn in a safe manner. You must also check with your local air district to confirm that it is a permissive burn day. For burn permits and to learn more, visit https://burnpermit.fire.ca.gov/.

El Dorado County's Projects in Your Area Portal is where the public can view statuses and information on proposed, in-progress, and approved projects.

On Saturday April 26, over twenty-five community volunteers joined the Parks and Trails Division to plant trees and landscape plants at the County’s Bradford Park. We are grateful to the volunteers’ enthusiasm and energy on this rainy Saturday morning to plant six flowering cherry trees and numerous landscape plants to replace the hazardous topped trees that had been removed under the utility lines. This planting establishes the “right tree in the right place” by installing smaller growing trees under the utility lines. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this planting day a success!
Visit the Parks and Trails Division volunteer webpage for more information on upcoming volunteer opportunities. www.eldoradocounty.ca.gov/Land-Use/Parks-Trails/Volunteer
