In This Issue:
Information regarding the closure of the Mt. Murphy Bridge is posted on the El Dorado County Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/eldoradocountyroads
In addition to Facebook, I have requested that DOT also post updates on their Road Work Alerts webpage, much like they did the last time the bridge was closed due to a DUI driver in 2021, here: www.eldoradocounty.ca.gov/Land-Use/Transportation/Road-Work-Alerts
What to Expect: When I stopped by the bridge on Sunday, DOT staff was notifying passersby that they should prepare for at least a week of bridge closure.
Several people have asked about the Mt. Murphy Bridge replacement project. That project timeline is posted on DOT’s Mt. Murphy Bridge Project webpage here, and I will ask staff to review it for any needed updates: www.eldoradocounty.ca.gov/Land-Use/County-Projects/Bridge-Projects/Mt-Murphy-Bridge-Project
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we work to get the bridge safely reopened.
