Hearing Cannabis

The County of El Dorado Planning Commission will hold a public study session in the Building C Hearing Room, 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville, CA 95667 on June 8, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., to consider the following:

A review of the County's cannabis regulations, to identify issues related to implementation and functionality and recommend to the Board of Supervisors whether changes should be considered. The study session seeks input from any interested party/entity and cannabis industry personnel. Agenda and Staff Reports are available approximately two weeks prior at https://eldorado.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx

All persons interested are invited to attend and be heard or to write their comments to the Planning Commission. For the current remote options, please check the meeting Agenda no less than 72 hours before the meeting, which will be posted at https://eldorado.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. Any written correspondence should be directed to the County of El Dorado Planning and Building Department, 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville, CA 95667 or via e-mail: planning@edcgov.us.

To ensure delivery to the Commission prior to the study session, written information from the public is encouraged to be submitted by Thursday the week prior to the meeting. All normal limits apply - 15 gallons or 125 pounds per household, limit of 10 fluorescent bulbs per household, no business waste, do not mix waste streams, no out-of-county waste, please bring proof of county residency to your appointment.

Parks Division

Work in one of the most famous locations in El Dorado County! Bring your energy and experience to this great opportunity by performing variety of duties in the care and maintenance of park facilities within El Dorado County.


The selected candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist and provide information to park visitors by maintaining timely posting of bulletins and information materials regarding use of park.
  • Collect admittance fees, sell and issue passes, coordinate group use permits, reconcile receipts and provides receipts, and report to administration as directed.
  • Advise users of County Parks and Recreation codes and regulations.
  • Check vehicles for display of fee receipts.
  • Summon proper law enforcement agency if and when needed to enforce codes and regulations.
  • Monitor park facilities including buildings, play equipment, and pathways; inspect grounds and facilities for hazardous conditions and correct or barricades the hazards; report the need for repair to administration.
