The El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency, in partnership with Motherlode School District, is inviting residents of El Dorado County to attend a special town hall meeting focused on youth vaping. The "Impact of Vaping on Our Youth" town hall meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Herbert Green Middle School, located at 3781 Forni Road in Placerville. The free event, which will also be available virtually via Zoom, will include presentations from a panel of guest speakers, an interactive question & answer period, and resource information.

Thank you to the community members and county staff who volunteered in the cleanup at Cold Springs Cemetery on Saturday October 22. We made great progress that day and there will be future volunteer opportunities to continue efforts on this and other properties.
Community Invited to Provide Input on Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Plan (edcgov.us)
The El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency, Behavioral Health Division invites the public to provide input on the Fiscal Year 2023-26 Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Three-Year Program and Expenditure Plan. Community members can provide input by attending an upcoming community meeting or submitting an online survey or an email. Currently scheduled community meetings will be held virtually via zoom and can be accessed online through one of the links below or by calling (669) 900-6833 and entering the Webinar ID and passcode. California voters passed MHSA (Proposition 63) in November 2004; the law was enacted on January 1, 2005. MHSA places a 1% tax on personal incomes over $1,000,000. Counties receive funds through the State, intending to transform the public mental health system into one that is consumer-friendly, recovery-oriented, accessible and culturally competent. ONE (1) VACANCY EXISTS ON THE EL DORADO COUNTY AIRPORTS ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
Description: The El Dorado County Airports Advisory Committee typically meets quarterly and acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors regarding County policy matters applicable to the airports. The Airports Advisory Committee is composed of seven (7) members who are active County airport users. Appointment shall be made by the full Board of Supervisors from applicants who meet the qualification criteria recommended to the Board of Supervisors by the Committee. Non-district specific applicants, including applicants that are outside of the Placerville and Georgetown districts, may be eligible for appointment.
Term: Fulfilling the unexpired term of a previous appointee, term expiration July 16, 2023.
