The 2nd and final reading of the proposed Industrial Hemp ordinance has been moved to November 1, 2022 at 2:00pm.

Charter Review

TWO (2) VACANCIES EXIST ON THE CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE FOR DISTRICT 4. One (1) vacancy is a for a Primary Representative and one (1) vacancy is for an Alternate Representative.

Description: The Board of Supervisors shall convene a Charter Review Committee within five (5) years of the last charter review period. The committee shall review the County Charter and, after at least two (2) public hearings, make recommendations for amendments to the Board of Supervisors. (Charter Section 701).

Term for this Vacancy: Term is through the charter review period.

Ag Vacancy 

(2) TWO VACANCIES EXIST ON THE AGRICULTURAL COMMISSION. One (1) vacancy is a for a Fruit and Nut Farming Industry Representative and one (1) vacancy is for a Livestock Industry Representative.

Description: The Agricultural Commission is an advisory body to and for the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission on all matters pertaining to agriculture. The Commission shall advise the Board of procedures and techniques requiring legislative or policy sections that will encourage and promote agricultural activities that are conducive to the continued wellbeing of El Dorado County. The Commission shall formulate and recommend to the Board, general policies related to the purposes of the Commission. Any person interested may apply for the position. Applicants should be knowledgeable and experienced in the fruit and nut farming industry.

Term for this Vacancy: Both positions are currently filled, and current members may reapply. Other interested parties that meet eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply, term to begin January 2023.
