In This Issue: Message from EDSO, 9/19/22, 3:00 pm #MosquitoFire EVACUATION UPDATE: Order to Warning- Volcanoville/Quintette The following areas are placed back into an evacuation warning, allowing citizens to return to their property. This includes the area East of the intersection of Wentworth Springs Road and Wolfridge Road, West of Stumpy Meadows Lake, South of the County Line, and North of Wentworth Springs Road. Warning Lifted- Canyon Creek The evacuation warnings for the Mosquito Fire have been lifted for all homes in the Canyon Creek area. This includes the area north of the intersection of Spanish Dry Diggins Road and Sliger Mine Road and North of the intersection of Spanish Dry Diggins and Reservoir Road. Warning Lifted- Bottle Hill The evacuation warnings for the Mosquito Fire have been lifted for all homes in the Canyon Creek area. This includes the community north of the intersection of Wentworth Springs Road and Breedlove Road and South of Bottle Hill Road. Warning Lifted- Grey Eagle The evacuation warnings for the Mosquito Fire have been lifted for all homes in the Grey Eagle Zone. This includes the area West of Stumpy Meadows Lake, East of the intersection of Wentworth Springs Road and Breedlove, South of Wentworth Springs, and North of Bald Mountain Canyon. PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to return to your homes today, be aware of hazards such as downed trees, live power lines, and the upcoming rains that may cause additional hazards. This is still an active fire and your area could return to an evacuation order if the fire and conditions change. Please drive safely as there are emergency responders and utility workers still working in your area. For updated information on evacuations, shelters and the fire please go to the County Website at https://www.edcgov.us/wildfire/Pages/Mosquito-Fire.aspx If you have spoiled food in your refrigerator caused by the Mosquito Fire, you may use the dumpsters located at the following locations. Please do not throw away any burned or hazardous materials into the dumpsters. All dumpsters should be in place by this afternoon.
