Mosquito Bridge 2022

MOSQUITO BRIDGE ROAD CLOSURE: From July 5th through August 8th, portions of Mosquito Road near the Bridge will be closed for tree removal, bridge maintenance and other work. Extension of this time frame may be needed once the Project schedule is updated. Further notification will be provided at least two weeks in advance if extension of the August 8, 2022, closure is required. On the week of June 27, 2022, tree removal will also commence on the south Project limits, which will not require road closure. For questions regarding this construction, please contact the County’s Transportation main line at (530) 621- 5900 (select Option 3 for Engineering).

 RCRC’s 6th Annual Rural County Photo Contest

Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) has launched its 6th Annual Rural County Photo Contest. Created to promote tourism and local economic development through showcasing the beautiful landscape, scenery, activities, history, and charm of RCRC’s member counties. RCRC will accept photo submissions beginning July 1st through July 31st. The winning photograph will be unveiled at the September RCRC Board of Directors Meeting. The memo can be accessed Here

 Veg mgmt

Property owners in the Deer Valley area of Rescue will be receiving notices to be inspected for defensible space in accordance with El Dorado County Ordinance 5101. As in the past two years since inception of the program, the focus will be on education and assistance toward voluntary compliance.

Additionally, a workshop will be held to provide information and answer questions.
