El Dorado County recognizes the COVID-19 pandemic has caused economic interruption for community-based non-profit organizations. These organizations have been called upon to assist individuals and families in crisis and at the same time have been unable to continue their normal revenue-raising activities.

American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) funds have been allocated to El Dorado County, and the Board of Supervisors has directed staff to launch a Non-Profit Grant program with the intent to assist the County’s non-profit organizations. The grant is designed to provide financial relief to El Dorado County non-profit organizations that have suffered revenue loss or increased expenditures attributed to COVID-19, which resulted in a reduction in net income in 2020.
