Free Waste Tire Disposal

Did you know that you can bring your old, used waste tires to the El Dorado Disposal Material Recovery Facility for FREE? That's right. This CalRecycle grant funded program, open to residential customers only (no businesses), allows you to bring up to 9 tires per visit, no larger than 24 inches (inside diameter), on or off rim, any day of the week to the Material Recovery Facility, located at 4100 Throwita Way, free of charge. Better hurry though. This offer ends June 30, 2021 or sooner if grant funds are exhausted.

 Household Hazardous Waste Event 5/15/21

Environmental Management will be holding a temporary Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) event on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Rescue Elementary School, 3880 Green Valley Road, from 9 AM to Noon. This is a no contact drop off event by appointment only.

Cronan Ranch Community Discussion at
Coloma Lotus Advisory Committee Meeting

During its regular committee meeting, the Coloma-Lotus Advisory Committee (CLAC) will host a discussion about potential plans for Cronan Ranch and other parks in the Coloma Lotus Valley. There is a lot of interest in the future of our parks and the CLAC will gather public comments to make a recommendation to the Parks and Recreation Commission on potential parks projects.
