Coloma - Lotus Fire Station #74 and CALFire

Station 74

El Dorado Unit has recently formed a firefighter hand crew of 15 experienced fire fighter I’s. This summer is shaping up to be another very active fire season and with the uncertainty of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, CAL FIRE has added Firefighter I Hand Crews to all Units throughout the State. These crews are an addition to our traditional staffing.

El Dorado County Fire Protection District has allowed CAL FIRE’s AEU Firefighter Crew 27 to occupy the Coloma - Lotus Fire Station #74 with their Paramedics. This cooperative arrangement is beneficial as it provides much needed living space for the Crew. In return, Crew 27 is available to assist the El Dorado County Fire Protection District response areas when needed.
