On March 25-26, 2026, the CFRP underwent an Assessment by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and maintained full implementation of the Animal Feed Regulatory Program Standards (AFRPS).
On January 19-22, 2026, Samantha Moran-Defty, Senior Environmental Scientist Supervisor, and KC Gutenberger, Senior Environmental Scientist Specialist, traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to participate in the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) Midyear Meeting which included sessions on important areas of concern, including a workshop on AAFCO’s new Scientific Review of Ingredient Submissions (SRIS) Process
Safe Animal Feed Education (SAFE) Program’s Senior Environmental Scientist Specialist, KC Gutenberger, attended the California Grain and Feed Industry Conference January 14-15, 2026, in Seaside, California and presented CFRP and SAFE updates.
On February 24, 2026 Gutenberger and Program Manager Rachelle Kennedy attended the Western Fairs Association Super’s School to join a panel on the safe use of livestock feed and drugs at fairs.
On March 2, 2026, the CFRP hosted a visit from the Sierra College Animal Nutrition class to learn about CDFA programs.
