Welcome to the first issue of the modernized Quarterly Feed Update Newsletter. This bulletin contains announcements and links to various blog articles from throughout Winter 2023. Beginning in 2024, all Quarterly Feed Update Newsletters will use this modern format. We can look back at the pdf file format from Issue 1 of the newsletter from 2020, shown right, and say goodbye in 2024!

2023 Accomplishments
CFRP published a blog post highlighting program accomplishments and updates from the past year.

Notice to Industry
CFRP published a notice to industry regarding novel and not currently approved feed and livestock drugs.

CFRP released six videos designed to help industry navigate the ExtraView Database, which is used for licensing, reporting tonnage, and payments. These “How-To” videos explain basic requirements and steps to meet all quarterly reporting and annual licensing requirements for commercial feed.

The Safe Animal Feed Education (SAFE) Program would like your input in prioritizing topics for outreach and education to the feed industry in 2024. The anonymous survey below should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help SAFE focus its efforts in providing education and outreach in the topics that are most important to industry in 2024. Learn more about the previous 2023 SAFE survey in the full blog post.
The SAFE program has developed a new educational website for all things feed and feed ingredients. Included are resources and educational materials regarding feed ingredient definitions, feed ingredient and new animal drug approval processes, and annual program reports.
