Sales tax rates have increased by 0.625% as of April 1 across all of Santa Clara County following voter approval of Measure A in November 2025. The total rate varies by municipality. The City of Cupertino’s combined sales tax rate is now 9.750%. Retailers should ensure point-of-sale systems are updated accordingly to reflect the change.

Waymo recently expanded its driverless ride-hailing service into Cupertino as part of a broader West Valley rollout. The expansion also includes Campbell and additional San Jose neighborhoods, growing Waymo’s Bay Area footprint to more than 330 square miles.

The third annual Cupertino Community Service Awards will take place on October 28, 2026. This ceremony will recognize the 2026 CREST Awards (Cupertino Recognizes Extra Steps Taken), and Commissioners who served on a City Commission. The City’s Business Resource Hub was first introduced last November as a resource tool for businesses holding an active Cupertino business license.
