Hello Neighbors,
The rest of the country is discovering what we in Cupertino have known all along–our City is an amazing place–and most recently ranked among the top places to live in California.
I was pleased to attend yesterday's groundbreaking for the Wolfe Road/Interstate 280 Interchange Improvement Project. This important public-private partnership is an investment will help improve traffic flow, safety, and connectivity for our community, and I look forward to seeing its progress in the months ahead.
As construction begins, I encourage everyone to plan to allow extra travel time when driving through the area. Your patience and attention to safety will help protect both workers and fellow residents during this process.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival this past weekend. The event was a meaningful celebration of community, culture, and our Sister City relationship with Toyokawa, Japan. We appreciate Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Cities, Inc. for organizing another successful festival for supporting this long-standing community tradition.
I also want to remind our business community that the Business License Amnesty Program is ending soon. Businesses have less than one month remaining to take advantage of reduced penalties for resolving unpaid or unlicensed business activity. If you need to come into compliance or update your license, I encourage you to act now.
There are also several ways to get involved in the coming weeks, including attending the upcoming E-Bikes and Youth Safety Community Meeting, participating in National River Cleanup Day, or joining one of our Personal, Family, and Neighborhood Preparedness workshops.
Finally, I'm excited to share that the Spring 2026 edition of the SCENE is now available, highlighting Public Service Recognition Week and the outstanding work of City staff from all departments.
Thank you for taking the time to stay informed and engaged in our community.

Warm Regards,
 Tina Kapoor
