Reminder: Sales Tax Increase April 1 Countywide
Sales tax rates have increased by 0.625% as of April 1 across all of Santa Clara County following voter approval of Measure A in November 2025. The total rate varies by municipality. The City of Cupertino’s combined sales tax rate is now 9.750%. Retailers should ensure point-of-sale systems are updated accordingly to reflect the change.

Bike to Work and Shop Local Campaign
The City of Cupertino will celebrate Bike to Work Day on Thursday, May 14, 2026, with a Shop Local campaign that promotes Cupertino’s eateries and showcases special menus, deals, and discounts. This initiative encourages residents and visitors to dine locally while enjoying Bike to Work Day together with family and friends. The registration deadline for restaurants to sign up is May 7, 2026. Sign up now and make Bike to Work Day unforgettable for your restaurant!  The City of Cupertino is celebrating the excitement of the international soccer tournament and the spirit of Independence Day from June 13 to July 13 through a Shop Local campaign highlighting Cupertino businesses with special deals and discounts. This initiative encourages residents and visitors to stay, dine, and shop locally while enjoying world-class soccer and festive Fourth of July celebrations together with family and friends.
