Free Advertising for the 2026 Big Football Game
The City will celebrate the Big Football Championship Game on Sunday, February 8, 2026, with a Shop Local campaign that promotes Cupertino’s eateries and showcases special menus, deals, and discounts. This initiative encourages residents and visitors to dine locally while enjoying The Big Game together with family and friends. Sign up now at cupertino.gov/TheBigGame.

Launch of Cupertino Business Resource Hub
The City is thrilled to announce the launch of its Business Resource Hub, a centralized platform designed to empower local entrepreneurs and small businesses. Through the Hub, business owners can connect with experienced business-support professionals, participate in expert-led workshops, and benefit from direct business coaching and mentoring, all designed to strengthen the local economy and support a thriving business community. Oversized Vehicle Parking Restrictions
Effective October 2025, oversized vehicles, including Recreational Vehicles (RV’s), are prohibited from parking on City streets between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. without a City-issued Oversized Vehicle parking permit. An oversized vehicle is any vehicle, or combination of vehicles, that measures more than 22 feet in length or exceeds six feet in width and seven feet in height. Oversized vehicles are allowed to park on City streets without a permit during daylight hours, from 6:01 a.m. to 9:59 p.m. Additional information can be found at RV/Oversized Vehicle Parking.

Business License Transition to HdL
This fall, the City launched its new business license portal with HdL Companies. The new system streamlines the license renewal process, improves compliance, and offers an online platform designed to enhance customer service for our local businesses. To apply for or renew your City business license, please visit cupertino.gov/BusinessLicense.

New Minimum Wage Rate in 2026
The Cupertino minimum wage will increase from $18.20 to $18.70 per hour effective January 1, 2026. This rate applies to all covered employees who perform at least two hours of work per week within Cupertino. Tips are not included as part of the minimum wage. Single-Use Plastics Mini-Grants
Is your restaurant plastic-free and in compliance with the City of Cupertino's Single-Use Plastic Foodware Ordinance? After two years of outreach and assistance, enforcement with the potential for fines will start in 2026. If your restaurant needs financial assistance purchasing compliant foodware (i.e., reusable foodware or fiber-based compostable foodware), $300 mini-grants are available! If you would like to be reimbursed for your compliant foodware purchases, please contact Environmental@Cupertino.gov. More information and resources can be found on cupertino.gov/Foodware.
