Hello Neighbors,
Cupertino continues to see exciting momentum across our local economy. From new businesses opening their doors to major projects moving forward, our City’s economic vitality remains strong.
The City is also preparing to convene the first meeting of the new Economic Development Committee (EDC), which will bring together community and business leaders to help guide Cupertino’s economic future. See details for next week's EDC meeting in this edition of the newsletter. For updates, visit cupertino.gov/edc.
As we reflect on the City’s 70th anniversary, I want to thank our residents, businesses, and community partners for making Cupertino a vibrant and thriving place to live, work, and visit. October’s Cupertino Community Service Awards and Restaurant Week were wonderful opportunities to recognize our City Commissioners and Committee Members, celebrate our CREST Award winners, and honor 70 years of Cupertino history.
As we begin to enter the holiday season, let’s celebrate by supporting the local shops and restaurants that bring community to Cupertino—starting with Small Business Saturday on Saturday, November 29.

Warm Regards,
 Tina Kapoor
Interim City Manager

Be Flood Ready This Rainy Season
The rainy season has arrived, bringing the possibility of storms and flooding. While flood protection projects have reduced risks across Santa Clara County, some areas remain vulnerable each year. Now is the time to make sure you and your loved ones are prepared.
Here are a few essential ways to stay flood-ready:
-
Make an emergency plan for your household and pets.
-
Assemble a 3-day emergency kit with water, food, and supplies.
-
Get flood insurance early as most standard policies don’t cover flood damage.
-
Pick up free filled sandbags at Valley Water distribution sites.
By planning ahead and following flood safety guidance, you can help protect your family, property, and community. Learn more at valleywater.org/floodready.
