Wildfire Preparedness Workshops
As wildfire risks continue to threaten communities in California, preparedness is more crucial than ever. To help residents take proactive steps in protecting their homes and families, the Santa Clara County Fire Department (SCCFD) is hosting a series of Wildfire Readiness Workshops this spring. These workshops are designed to educate the public on wildfire prevention, emergency planning, and evacuation readiness.
The location and hours are listed below:
- Tuesday, April 22 - Pavilion at Eastwood Estates, 21450 Madrone Drive, Los Gatos, 6 to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, May 3 - Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Avenue Saratoga, 10 a.m. to noon

State of the City 2025 Recap
The City of Cupertino proudly hosted a successful State of the City address, with over 200 community members, Santa Clara County elected officials, and event partners in attendance. Held at Quinlan Community Center, Mayor Liang Chao delivered a speech highlighting the City's accomplishments over the past year and shared her vision for Cupertino's future.
The City extends its appreciation to everyone who attended and contributed to making the event a success. For those who missed it, a recording of the State of the City address will soon be made available on the on Monday.

Jollyman Park Parking Lot Closed on March 5
Due to construction activities, the Jollyman Park parking lot off South Stelling Road will be closed on Wednesday, March 5. The parking lot will be expected to re-open the next day.

Big Bunny 5K
Hop into fun this spring! The Big Bunny 5K and Kids Fun Run is back on Saturday, March 8. This family-friendly event invites community members to run, walk, or hop 3.1 miles through the streets of Cupertino, starting and finishing at the Cupertino Civic Center. For the littlest participants, kids aged seven and younger will have a blast on a special course built just for them at the Kids Fun Run.

Business Workshop: Legal Compliance & Talent Acquisition
On Thursday, February 20, the City of Cupertino, Access Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), and the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with NOVAworks, co-hosted a business workshop focused on legal compliance and talent acquisition. Attendees gained key insights into labor laws, workplace safety, and strategies for attracting and retaining top talent, all while networking with local business leaders and experts. This event underscored the importance of collaboration in driving growth and success for businesses in Cupertino.

2025 Cupertino Education Fair
On Saturday, March 1, the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce will host a public Education Fair designed for Kindergarten through 12th grade parents and children to discover and explore a wide range of recreational and educational programs available for the summer. The free event will take place at Cupertino High School (Cafeteria – Student Union), located at 10100 Finch Avenue, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Watershed Watch Earth Day Poster Challenge
The Watershed Watch Earth Day Poster Challenge is here again! Calling all students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in Santa Clara Valley: What makes your local waterways (creeks, rivers, lakes) special to you? How can we protect them from pollution? Let your creativity shine and share your ideas! Submit your entry by Monday, March 17, for a chance to win up to $250.

Cupertino Symphonic Band's Children's Concert
On Sunday, March 23, the Cupertino Symphonic Band will host a Children's Concert at the Quinlan Community Center, offering a delightful selection of music for younger audiences. Admission is free.

Run for Great Schools 5K
Register early for the Run for Great Schools 5K and Run Run on Saturday, March 29. CEEF and CUSD are bringing back this fun, district-wide community event and hope to see you there. Registration prices will increase as the event gets closer so sign up today and come Run, Walk or Cheer to support our 23 CUSD Schools.

Be Natural Music 3-Year Anniversary Celebration
On Saturday, February 22, Be Natural Music, in partnership with the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, celebrated their 3 year anniversary in Cupertino by hosting an Open House at their Cupertino studio located at 20009 Stevens Creek Boulevard.
Melo Melo Coconut Dessert Opening
Melo Melo Coconut Dessert has recently opened its doors in Cupertino. Now welcoming guests at 19652 Stevens Creek Boulevard, the new spot is ready to serve the community with its dessert offerings.
