Front Desk Volunteer
The Front Desk Volunteer Position is the “Window to the Senior Center.” Here, guests get their first impression of the Center. They answer phones and provide information regarding the Center. This is a people-oriented job with detailed task assignments.

New topics are garnered and prepared weekly for discussion. Topics range from recent technological advancements or how to do something on a device. Discussion is geared towards the interest of those who attend each session.

Venturing in Historic Morgan Hill and the Pumpkin Patch
Wednesday, October 2 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Morgan Hill is a hidden treasure full of rich history and agriculture. Walk back-in-time at the Villa Mira Monte property with a docent led tour and learn significant events in Morgan Hill and United States. Following a no-host lunch, venture through Spina Farms to enjoy a hayride and look for your favorite pumpkin to take home in their pumpkin patch.

Soak up the refreshing country atmosphere in this beautiful Pajaro Valley town as you have a filled day to celebrate the fall season. Taste through a variety of ciders at the award winner S. Martinelli and Company factory, take a behind the scenes look at glass art at Anniglass, and finish your day in the orchards of Gizdich Ranch with a fresh slice of pie.

Discover Danville and “The Spirit of the Old West” at Blackhawk
Thursday, November 7 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Visit the renowned Blackhawk museum, a Smithsonian affiliate, a be guided in a private docent-led tour of the “Spirit of the Old West” gallery and learn about living in the American West. Following the tour, you will be able to visit the other exhibits on your own featuring “Into China”, “Arts of Africa” and the popular “Classic Car Collection.” After your no-host lunch you will see the Village Theatre and Art Gallery in the historic downtown area of Danville.

Grace Cathedral and Ghirardelli Square
Thursday, November 14 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Experience the wonder of Grace Cathedral on a private tour of this Gothic cathedral famed for its architecture, labyrinths, art, and more. Enjoy an included lunch at the Hard Rock Café at Pier 39 and save room for dessert with the afternoon at Ghirardelli Square to delight in chocolate and other treats.
