Fall Prevention and Wellness Resources Lecture
Tuesday, March 5 1 to 2:15 p.m.
Identify fall risks and learn simple and effective home modifications to prevent falls. Get connected with community resources to maintain safety and wellness. Meet local firefighters and see the fire engine and equipment. Presented by Stanford Health Care and the Santa Clara County Fire Department.

Digital Connections Program
Tuesday, March 12 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Are you 60 years or older and do not have a functioning technology device or tablet? Come learn about the Digital Connections (DC) Program which helps bridge the digital divide gap and foster more social connectedness among seniors. This program provides an iPad for personal use (on loan for duration of program) with technical assistance and one-on-one virtual training.

(NEW) New York Times Cooking Workshop
Wednesday, March 27 10 to 11 a.m.
Learn how you can read The New York Times Cooking online for free, courtesy of the Santa Clara County Library District. Gain access to an inspiring cooking guide that you may use as innovative and interactive kitchen tool that contains diverse recipe collations that helps home cooks of every level. You will discover and be able to save the world's best recipes while becoming a better cook.

Join us for a fun, community-connecting social event bringing younger and older generations together. All youth ages 13 to 17 and older adults 50+ are welcome to attend. This is event is free to attend. Lunch will be provided.

Join us for the Irish tradition of St. Patrick's Day featuring Irish entertainment plus a full meal of corned beef and cabbage, carrots, potatoes, and dessert. Members with March birthdays will be honored.

Become a volunteer instructor to share your skill set and engage others of similar interest.
We are seeking instructors for Tai chi, Qi Gong, US History, Mandarin, Japanese, meditation, bridge, chess, ESL, PC, and more.

Front Desk Volunteer
The Front Desk Volunteer Position is the “Window to the Senior Center.” Here, guests get their first impression of the Center. They answer phones and provide information regarding the Center. This is a people-oriented job with detailed task assignments.

Walking Group Leader
Group walking leaders will begin each session with a pre-walk discussion covering a specified topic, followed by a 10 to 40 minute walk that includes a warm-up and a cool-down period. Program Duration: six weeks, three times per week for one hour (18 total sessions). Training is provided.

50+ Softball

 Guide Dogs for the Blind and Marin Civic Center
Wednesday, June 5 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Visit the Guide Dogs for the Blind campus in San Rafael for an informative walking tour that includes stops at the residential courtyard, the training courtyard, and the Learning Lab at their Puppy Center. Afterwards, relax over a comfortable lunch at Red Rooster Restaurant serving Italian forward cuisine made with local, fresh ingredients.
Conclude your wonderful day with a private behind-the-scenes tour of the Marin County Civic Center designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. You will experience Wright’s innovative design and signature integration of architecture with landscape, the iconic blue roof, and learn more about the scandalous history of the building.

Spend a day in this quaint village by the sea, without having to drive or worry about parking! Carmel-by-the-Sea is a community rich in the history and traditions of early California. Highlighting more than 90 art studios and galleries, it also boasts numerous antique shops, loads of boutiques, and many of small, intimate bakeries, cafes, and restaurants. Carmel promises hours of discovery as you enjoy the peaceful, European ambiance while strolling through winding streets and exploring secluded courtyards. You may feel like exploring Carmel Mission and the Mission ranch or digging your toes in the sand at Carmel beach. You decide, it’s your day!

 Golden Gate Bay Cruise and Spectacular Pier 39
Thursday, June 27 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
From amazing views, a sea of sea lions, to delectable seafood, heavenly sweet treats, street performers, and unique stores, there is always something fun to do at Pier 39. Begin your day with a visit to the iconic Pier 39, with time to explore the plethora of dining, shopping, and entertainment options at your own pace.
The highlight of the day is a beautiful bay cruise, where you will set sail and enjoy spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline and waterfront, the majestic Golden Gate Bridge, and notorious Alcatraz Island. Get up-close with the wild inhabitants of the bay, including seagulls, pelicans, harbor porpoises, dolphins, and sea lions. There will be plenty of photo opportunities while cruising directly under the massive 4,200-foot long, 746-foot-high span of the Golden Gate Bridge, so keep your camera handy!
