Brain Health & Aging – The Basics Lecture
Tuesday, January 9 11 a.m. to noon
This lecture will cover the 5-6 Pillars of Brain Health as well as Brain Health Protective and Risk Factors. Presented by the Santa Clara County Department of Public Health.

AARP 8-hour Smart Driving Course
Wednesday, January 17 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, January 19 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
A full 8-hour class, split into two 4-hour sessions. Course does require a fee.

Frustrated with technology issues and need assistance? Technology issues may often be solved by simple changes to the settings on your device. You will receive one-on-one help with any device you bring (phone, laptop, tablet, smart watch, etc.) while learning how to use your device for your needs.

We are seeking instructors for Tai chi, Qi Gong, US History, Mandarin, Japanese, meditation, bridge, chess, PC, and more.

Front Desk Volunteer
The Front Desk Volunteer Position is the “Window to the Senior Center.” Here, guests get their first impression of the Center. They answer phones and provide information regarding the Center. This is a people-oriented job with detailed task assignments.

 Contemporary Jewish Museum and the Ferry Building
Friday, January 19 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Start your day by traveling to the iconic Ferry Building, an all-around favorite destination in San Francisco! Take in gorgeous views of the bay, unique local stores, and awe-inspiring Beaux-Art architecture. Eat your way through food paradise for your no-host lunch/brunch with gourmet coffees, bagels, cheeses, ice cream, and more.
Afterwards you will visit the Contemporary Jewish Museum for a private tour of the architecture and special exhibits of this innovative museum.

 Celebrate Spring at Café Wisteria and Filoli Gardens

Start the day at Cafe Wisteria, where you will be treated to a delicious lunch prepared with fresh, local, and organic produce in a serene and elegant setting. You will have time to explore the Allied Arts Guild, home to unique shops and artists' studios. Afterwards you will travel to visit Filoli Gardens and Historic House to soak in the beauty of the exquisite garden displays, floral arrangements, and grand mansion.

 Ballroom Extravaganza!
Friday, March 29 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Spend a whirlwind day witnessing the world's best professional and amateur dancers compete in the SF Dancesport Championships at the Waterfront Marriott in Burlingame. Enjoy mesmerizing performances in the Ballroom, Latin, and Rhythm categories. For your convenience, a scrumptious catered boxed lunch will be included while taking in this spectacular day of passion and competition.

 Behind-the-Scenes of Oracle Park on Game Day
Wednesday, April 24 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
See Oracle Park like you never have before with a 90-minute docent tour that will take you places only the players and staff go. You will see the Press Box, a Luxury Suite, the Club Level Memorabilia Display Cases, the trophies and ring displays, and glimpses of the players warm-up before the game. After the tour, you will have time to select from the many dining options for your no-host lunch. The lunch options are plenty for you to grab food before taking your seat and cheering on the San Francisco Giants as they take on the New York Mets.

 April Trip Registration begins on Monday, January 8 for Senior Center members, and Monday, January 15 for non-members.

The Senior Center will be closed in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 15.

 Registration opens for GenConnect: An Intergenerational Mixer, taking place on Monday, March 18.
