Learn about Bay Area disaster risks, how to plan and prepare for a disaster, disaster supply kit contents, and how stay informed during and after a disaster. Learn important communication systems and how to communicate with your support network during a disaster.

Wednesday, December 13 10 to 11 a.m.
Enjoy watching movies and have a Santa Clara County Library Card? Learn about how you may stream movies on your tv, smart phone, tablet, desktop, or laptop for free. Kanopy's collection includes critically acclaimed movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, and more.

Holidays in Hawaii

Sway with our own Aloha Nani Hula dancers as they celebrate the holidays with Hawaiian songs and dances. Light refreshments will be served.

Class Instructors
Become a volunteer instructor to share your skill set and engage others of similar interest.
We are seeking instructors for Tai chi, Qi Gong, US History, Mandarin, Japanese, meditation, bridge, chess, PC, and more.

Front Desk Volunteer
The Front Desk Volunteer Position is the “Window to the Senior Center.” Here, guests get their first impression of the Center. They answer phones and provide information regarding the Center. This is a people-oriented job with detailed task assignments.

Mah Jongg
Fridays, noon to 4 p.m.
A game of Chinese origin, but now popular worldwide, usually played by four people with tiles resembling dominoes. Mah Jongg involves skill, strategy, calculation, and a certain degree of luck. Different styles are available, or bring your own.

 Contemporary Jewish Museum and Haas-Lilienthal House
Friday, January 19 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Explore the rich history of the Jewish community in San Francisco at the Haas-Lilienthal House and the Contemporary Jewish Museum. Your day will start in visiting the beautiful Haas-Lilienthal House, a gracious 11,500 sq. ft. Victorian home in the Pacific Heights neighborhood, complete with authentic furniture and artifacts. Afterwards you will enjoy a non-host lunch at Wise Sons deli followed by a private tour of the Contemporary Jewish Museum.

After immersing yourself in this upbeat musical, enjoy brunch at Crepevine, known for their delicious sweet and savory crepes and full omelets.

 Ballroom Extravaganza!
Friday, March 29 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Spend a whirlwind day witnessing the world's best professional and amateur dancers compete in the SF Dancesport Championships at the Waterfront Marriott in Burlingame. Enjoy mesmerizing performances in the Ballroom, Latin, and Rhythm categories. For your convenience, a scrumptious catered boxed lunch will be included while taking in this spectacular day of passion and competition.

Registration for January and February classes and activities starts on Monday, December 18.

The Senior Center will be closed from Monday, December 25 through Tuesday, January 2. The center will reopen on Wednesday, January 3.
