Anyone can fall victim to cybercrimes. Join the City of Cupertino and the Technology, Information, and Communications Commission (TICC) for a two-part cyber fair and panel discussion on Saturday, September 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Cupertino Community Hall, 10350 Torre Avenue to learn about cybersecurity and avoid becoming a victim.
Schedule:

- 11 a.m. to 12 noon – Science Fair
After the presentation, attendees can ask questions during the Q&A. Due to the importance of this topic, this presentation will be recorded and made available on the City’s website. You can also stream the event live at cupertino.org/youtube or cupertino.org/webcast.
ARK Open Houses: Community Emergency Response Sites
On September 16 and 17, the Citizen Corps will host ARK “open houses", which serve as coordinating points for community emergency response, gathering locations for volunteers to support the City in an emergency, and a place for residents to receive more information.
During National Preparedness Month, volunteers from the Cupertino Citizen Corps will be sharing information about the ARKs to promote neighborhood preparedness, provide tours, and general preparedness tips. Learn more about the resources and tools available to you at any of the locations below:

Annual Citywide Garage Sale
The 18th Annual Citywide Garage Sale will be Saturday, September 23 through Sunday, September 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Find good deals, help keep items out of the landfill, and meet your neighbors at more than 150 sales throughout Cupertino. Items typically sold at garage sales include used clothing, books, toys, household decorations, sports equipment, board games, furniture, and appliances. Coastal Cleanup Day
Your help is needed. Be the solution to water pollution and sign up for National River Cleanup Day, an international day of action to protect our creeks, rivers, and wildlife from trash and debris. The City of Cupertino is hosting a community creek cleanup on Saturday, September 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Regnart Creek, 10295 Parkside Lane, Cupertino, CA 95014.
Gloves, trash grabbers, and other tools will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water to stay hydrated and dress for safety. 10th Anniversary Fall Bike Fest
Strap in for Cupertino’s 10th Anniversary Fall Bike Fest on Saturday, September 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Cupertino Civic Center Plaza, 10350 Torre Avenue. This year’s festivities will be pulling out all the stops to celebrate ten years of the event.

Silicon Valley Fall Fest Recap
On Saturday, September 9, the Rotary Club of Cupertino hosted the Silicon Valley Fall Fest, an event they have organized for the last 40 years.
City staff from the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and the Community Development Department (CDD) attended the event to conduct community outreach and engagement. Staff and volunteers also provided a first aid booth, volunteer recruitment, and hazard awareness education.
Staff collected feedback from residents to help inform the update to the Multijurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan here. The Sheriff's Office and Santa Clara County Fire Department joined OEM in emergency preparedness education.
