Your Voice Matters: Help the City of Cupertino Update Its Ethics Policy
Calling all Cupertino residents--the Cupertino City Council wants your input. The City's Ethics Policy will be discussed at the Tuesday, September 19 City Council Meeting. Share the values you want local officials to uphold. The survey results will be provided to City Council as they consider adopting a revised policy. The survey is open now through Thursday, September 7.
Join us at Silicon Valley Fall Fest to Learn More about Housing in Cupertino
On Saturday, September 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. join the City of Cupertino's Housing Division and learn about future rezoning and housing development in Cupertino at the Community Open House: Focus on Rezoning of Housing Sites, taking place during the Silicon Valley Fall Fest at the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road.
The Housing Element is part of the City's General Plan that identifies where, how, and how much housing Cupertino is required to plan for between 2023-2031. This is another opportunity to get the latest updates, ask questions, and learn how you can participate.

While our neighbors in southern California are experiencing the impacts of Hurricane Hilary, it is a good reminder that disaster events can occur at any time, and it is important to take the steps to ensure that you are prepared to keep yourself, your family, and your community safe. Additionally, during National Preparedness Month in September, the Cupertino Office of Emergency Management has many ways to stay informed, get involved, and access resources in the case of emergencies. Pooch Plunge at Blackberry Farm Pools
On Saturday, September 9 from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Blackberry Farms opens up the pools exclusively for our furry friends. Don’t miss this annual opportunity to let your pooch swim, splash, and plunge into the Blackberry Farm pools. This year's event includes four 45-minute swim blocks. Toyokawa Sister City Bell Ringing Ceremony
Sunday, August 6, Mayor Hung Wei joined representatives from Cupertino’s sister city, Toyokawa and the Consulate General of Japan, Noguchi Yasushi, for the Ringing of the Bells honoring the lives lost during the bombing of Toyokawa, Japan. During the ceremony, the group gathered around the senbazuru (Tower of 1,000 Cranes) with ringing bells representing harmony and a pledges of peace. This represents both the fragility of life and the enduring human spirit.
The City of Cupertino is grateful to celebrate 45 years with our Sister City of Toyokawa, Japan, and this ceremony is representative of the importance of Sister City relationships that increase awareness and understanding across many cultures.
Rotary's Cupertino Rabbits
Rotary Club of Cupertino, honoring the Year of the Rabbit 2023, organized "Cupertino Rabbits", a community-wide public art exhibition and fundraiser to showcase our public spaces, celebrate the spirit of the rabbit that represents grace, elegance, renewal. New Taiwanese Bistro Opens in Cupertino
On Friday, August 11, the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce hosted the Grand Opening of the new Taiwanese Bistro. Mayor Hung Wei, along with other elected officials and dignitaries from neighboring cities, offered congratulatory remarks to the restaurant owner and extended a warm welcome to the attendees.

Cupertino Night Market
Tomorrow, August 26 from 3 to 10 p.m. join the Cupertino Night Market, an Asian-themed open-air market with street food, snacks, retail, kids’ activities, music, dances and more.
