Caregiver Support Group
Monday, August 7, 1 to 4 p.m.
Caregiving is tough and you do not have to do it alone. Join other friend and family caregivers to learn about resources, share experiences, and enjoy a social outlet. Lead by the Caregiver Network of Sourcewise, a Santa Clara County resource agency for seniors, the group is for caregivers of adults 60 and older or someone of any age with a dementia type disease (Huntington’s, early onset Alzheimer’s traumatic brain injury, etc.).

West Valley Community Services and Information Tabling
August 7 to August 17
Learn about West Valley Community Services (WVCS) and the resources they provide. See the August calendar to see what time WVCS will be tabling each day. WVCS serves homeless and low-income individuals and families.

Current Scams and Frauds
Wednesday, August 16 10 a.m.
The Santa Clara County Sherriff’s Department will inform you on what to be on the look out for and trends on current scams and fraud.

Have questions about how to use your Android phone? Bring your fully charged Android phone to learn a general informational overview on the ins-and-outs of your phone.

Senior Center Open House
Friday, August 25, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Learn more about the center’s classes and activities through demos and informational tabling. See how you can be active through learning a new skill, weekly socials, fitness classes, and more! Meet the staff in a small mixer to learn who oversees which of the center’s programs. Open to all.

Take a break from preparing a meal. Join Lunch with Friends and enjoy good food with good company.

50+ Golf Tournament
Monday, September 25, 10 a.m.
Tee off a great day with a morning of golf followed by a no-host awards lunch at a location to be determined.

Bingo
Join the Bingo Committee and help Friday afternoons. Support is needed in general social operations such as selling cards, passing out snacks, and more.

Class Instructors
Become a volunteer instructor to share your skill set and engage others of similar interest.
We are seeking instructors for Tai chi, Qi Gong, US History, Mandarin, Japanese, meditation, bridge, chess, PC, and more.

Hidden Treasures
Volunteers are needed to support this annual fundraising event. As a volunteer, you get to see a preview of the donated items while having fun sorting! Senior Center membership is required to volunteer.

New! Rock Painting
Monday, August 14, 2 to 3 p.m.
Get crafty and discover your colorful imagination by painting rocks. Lead by local teens, decorate a rock to brighten your yard, garden, or even your windowsill. Supplies are provided for a relaxing and fun afternoon.

Tennis
Tuesday and Friday, 9 to 11 a.m.
Play tennis with other members on courts 5 and 6 at Memorial Park. New members are welcome. Equipment not included.

Every month the Cupertino Senior Center offers a variety of fun classes from Line Dance to Knitting.

Enjoy a full day of thrilling, heart pounding thoroughbred horse racing. Join us for an exciting day to test your luck, cheer on your favorites, and celebrate the end of an iconic era of horse racing in the Bay Area.

 Pacific Grove and Monarch Migration
Thursday, November 9 8:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Explore the natural beauty and historic architecture of the Asilomar state park and conference center, browse the cute downtown for a no-host lunch at a café of your own choosing, and experience the monarch butterflies with a docent-led visit to the Natural History Museum and Monarch Sanctuary.

 The Lion King
Wednesday, December 6 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Experience the majesty of The Lion King, Broadway's beloved, Tony Award winning musical at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco. Enjoy a delicious, included lunch at Max’s Opera Café before the show.

The Cupertino Senior Center will accept donations for Hidden Treasures from August 1 to October 13.

Registration for September and October classes and activities starts on Monday, August 28.
