Regnart Creek Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Saturday, March 18 at 10 a.m. at Wilson Park
Join us! The City of Cupertino will be hosting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the opening of the Regnart Creek Trail on Saturday, March 18 at 10 a.m. The ceremony will take place at Wilson Park by the new pedestrian bridge.
The Regnart Creek Trail is one of the trail segments that make up “The Loop,” providing cyclists and pedestrians a safe, off-street path that connects Cupertino Civic Center—including City Hall, Community Hall, Cupertino Library, and Library Field—with Wilson Park’s sports fields, ceramic studio, future community garden and basketball court, as well as Creekside Park’s sports fields and play areas. Schools near the trail include Cupertino High School and Eaton Elementary School. Regnart Creek Trail will help alleviate the need for parking at these frequently visited locations.

Lawson Bikeway Feasibility Study
Community Meeting #2
Thursday, March 16
6:30 p.m.
This meeting will be held virtually. To attend the meeting, please register in advance: https://cityofcupertino.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_aZv4GBWWSvCspJx-U-4ECQ
The City of Cupertino is conducting a feasibility study for a bikeway (bike lane or bike path) at Lawson Middle School to provide students safe access to the bike cages on campus. Proposed designs include a multi-use path, a two-way separated bikeway, and a bike boulevard.
You are invited to attend the second of three community meetings to see what each of the bikeway options include and to voice your opinion about what option would be best. This meeting marks the critical decision point of the study, and providing feedback at the meeting is the best opportunity to weigh in on the design.
The study team will then use feedback from this meeting to develop one preferred alternative which they will present at a future community meeting. Visit the project webpage for more information:

Now Recruiting High School Representatives!
Are you passionate about sustainable transportation? Would you like to make a difference reducing traffic congestion and enhancing safety around your school? Would you like more people to understand the needs of people in wheelchairs? If you will be in high school next year and answered yes to any of these questions, we need you!
Cupertino Safe Routes to School (SR2S) is currently recruiting students to be on the SR2S Working Group next school year. The Working Group meets monthly to share ideas about how to implement the goals of the Safe Routes to School program in Cupertino. Input from High School Student Representatives has been invaluable to the Working Group since 2018.
Every year we select two high schoolers to represent each high school in Cupertino. If you are selected, in addition to other great opportunities, you will be given the opportunity to work with the other high school representative at your high school to apply for the new SR2S High School Grant Program described above to bring SR2S programming to and make a difference at your school. The selection process has become extremely competitive in the last couple of years. We hope you’ll apply!
Applications due April 30
