Local Business Gives Back to the Community
The new PGA Tour Superstore in Cupertino gave back to the community as part of their Community Caddies program, which organizes staff members in volunteering their time to give back to the community. In Cupertino, the PGA Superstore partnered with West Valley Community Services to support the fight against hunger and homelessness. Volunteers sorted and packaged food to be distributed to members of the community. The event was a big success and helped stitch the Cupertino community closer together, while working to combat the biggest challenges facing our city. We are thankful to have such amazing partners helping the community!

Holder’s Country Inn Comes to Cupertino
Cupertino welcomed the Holder's Country Inn restaurant to the city with a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 16. The owner, Efren Flores, and his family expressed their gratitude to the community and have been overwhelmed with the response they have received after their previous location burned down in August of this year. Mr. Flores stated he was determined to reopen quickly after the accident to insure his employees and restaurant regulars were taken care of. The new location at 10088 N Wolfe Rd. still features its menu favorites and welcoming service, but the meal you’ll enjoy is now further enhanced with a stunning modern décor and a primetime location. All those who had loved the Holder's Country Inn at their pervious location will not be disappointed and those who try out the restaurant for the first time will surely be impressed.

Business Outreach Visit to Sun Design Center
Our latest CBOP visit took us to Sun Design Center - a woman-owned business that has been part of our community for over 20 years - providing high-quality contemporary home design products for construction and renovation projects. Sun Design Center has cultivated a selection of premium flooring, tile, countertops, cabinets, and hardware. Cupertino's Economic Development team met with the owner, Gloria You, who provided a tour of the large showroom with impressive selection of home and commercial esthetic improvement products. We enjoyed connecting with Sun Design Center team and it was a opportunity for the City to learn more about the business and provide support and guidance.
Cupertino Business Outreach Program (CBOP) is a new City initiative that offers space for dialogue between local businesses and their public sector partners. If you operate a business in Cupertino and would like to schedule a conversation with the City's Economic Development team, email us at EconDev@cupertino.org.

AND THAT'S A WRAP!
It’s a been a great year in Cupertino! 2022 gave an opportunity for the City’s Economic Development team to get to know our local businesses and implement new and unique initiatives to support them. Doubling down on our desire to connect with our businesses and listen to their needs, we launched the new in-person corporate site visit program, crafted a survey to get the community’s feedback, and forged new partnerships.
As we close the year that has been full of change, economic uncertainty, and promise, we are grateful for your support and all that we have accomplished together.
We are gearing up to bring even more programs online in the new year. For now, we pause, reflect, and energize.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season and much business success! - Tina Kapoor
