COVID-19 Testing Available in Cupertino
COVID-19 testing will be available at Creekside Park, 10455 Miller Avenue, on Monday, November 21.
Appointments are available to everyone and can be made from 9:30 a.m. through 3:45 p.m. Access the appointment site at sccfreetest.org or directly at https://scl.fulgentgenetics.com/appointment.
The County of Santa Clara's health officials continue to remind residents and visitors to be mindful that the COVID-19 virus is still spreading, and that risk to health from the pandemic continues.

2022 General Election Comes to an End
Polls have been closed for the November 8 General Election. The Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters Office has begun the canvass of votes and will continue to count ballots received Countywide for the next few weeks. The certified statement of the election results will be available by December 8. The Cupertino City Council will receive the Certificate of Election Results at its special meeting on December 8.

Upcoming Marina Plaza Public Meeting
Community members are invited to an upcoming public meeting on the Marina Plaza Development located at 10145 North De Anza Boulevard and 10118 Bandley Drive. At this meeting, the Cupertino Planning Commission will consider a proposal for a Development Permit, Tentative Map, and Architectural and Site Approval.

Participate in Neighborhood Assessments
The Cupertino Citizen Corps will be training and practicing the Neighborhood Assessment process. This is one of the capabilities that the City's Office of Emergency Management has trained resident responders to do after a major emergency.
On Thursday, November 10, the Citizen Corps will conduct a Neighborhood Assessment Refresher Training via Microsoft Teams from 6 to 7 p.m. If you'd like to attend the virtual training, send an email to oem@cupertino.org. The training will include:
- an overview of a neighborhood assessment, needs, and processes
- how to report issues in your neighborhood after a disaster
- how the volunteer reports are used by the City
A full Neighborhood Assessment Walk Through will be conducted on Saturday, November 12 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. If you would like to attend the walk through, meet the Office of Emergency Management at the Monta Vista ARK, located at 22590 Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino.

Notable City Events
Pizza and Politics 2022 Recap
Cupertino's award-winning youth political forum, Pizza and Politics, returned to Cupertino Community Hall as an in-person event on October 21. More than 50 teens and guests attended the forum that is coordinated by the Cupertino Youth Advisory Board, Campbell Youth Commission, and Saratoga Youth Commission.
This year's Pizza and Politics provided an opportunity for teens to interact with elected officials, hear from Fremont Union High School District candidates, and debated topics that are important to today's youth. The program encourages youth civic engagement, makes politics more accessible, and allows teens to interact with elected leaders and candidates.

Halloween Concert 2022 Recap
The Cupertino Senior Center hosted its first live concert since 2019 on Monday, October 24 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The event celebrated the spirit of Halloween with spooky-themed music and a live musical performance by the Harker Tri-M Music Group. Performers ranged from ninth to twelfth grade and performed an array of songs from modern pop to classics.
Hidden Treasures 2022 Recap
On Thursday, October 27, the Hidden Treasures fundraiser returned to the Cupertino Senior Center for the first time since 2019. The return was a great success, with more than $14,000 worth of donated items sold.

Proceeds from this event go to support the Stay Active Fund, which helps pay for Senior Center memberships and programs for seniors interested in activities at the center. |

In addition to the monetary benefit of Hidden Treasures, the months of sorting, pricing, and preparation for the day of the sale provided members an opportunity to give back. More than 50 volunteers donated more than 1,000 hours from August to October.

Monster Mash 2022 Recap
On Friday, October 28, more than 120 families enjoyed a night of hocus pocus at the City's annual Monster Mash bash! Ghost wands were soaring, trick-or-treat bags were filled, and bean bags flew as children played carnival games, made spooky crafts, and went trick-or-treating at the Quinlan Community Center.

Cupertino City Hall reopened to the public on Monday, April 11. City services offered in-person include Building, Business License, Finance, Planning, Public Works, and other services. Many virtual tools and online assistance remain available at cupertino.org/online-services.
