Ceremonial Matters and Presentations
1. Proclamation Recognizing Musicians from Cupertino High Schools
City Council presented Proclamations honoring musicians from two Cupertino high schools (Homestead-Cupertino Symphony Orchestra and Homestead Symphonic Wind Ensemble) for their performances at the Washington D.C. International Music Festival on April 16 and 17.

2. Proclamation Commemorating Eid al-Fitr
City Council presented a Proclamation commemorating the Eid al-Fitr holiday, honoring the end of Ramadan for members of the Islamic faith and celebrating religious freedoms for every member of the Cupertino community. Cupertino resident Leila Qureishi accepted the proclamation on behalf of the community.
Postponements and Orders of the Day
City Council moved the Special Meeting Study Session Item 1 that was continued from 5:30 p.m. to directly after the Consent Calendar. Council also moved Regular Meeting Agenda Item 26 before Item 25.
Reports by Council and Staff
3. Councilmembers provided brief reports and announcements on their public activities since the prior regular Council meeting.
4. Councilmembers provided updates on their Committee assignments.
5. City Manager provided City business updates.
Consent Calendar
City Council approved Items 6 and 7 as amended and approved Item 11 as recommended in the Agenda. Council pulled Items 8, 10, and 22 for discussion before approving it as recommend in the Agenda. Council continued Items 12-21 to the May 17 meeting.
9. Donation for Memorial Park Bench Plaque
Council pulled this item considering a donation from Marilyn Francesco for a memorial plaque to be placed on a bench in Memorial Park in memory of Robin Andy. Council directed staff to bring back more information including proposed policy and procedures, historical information regarding similar types of donations to the City in the past, potential locations for memorial plaques, and recommended policies and procedures regarding movement of donated objects on City property.

1. Capital Improvements Program (CIP) Five-Year Review and FY 22-23 New Projects
Council continued the hearing, consideration, deliberation, and decisions for this item. Council moved to bring this item back during the May 17 meeting.
Council continued Items 23-26 (as reordered with Item 26 before Item 25) to the May 17 meeting.
Ordinances and Action Items
27. City Council Summer Recess and Cancellation of Meeting(s)
Council approved the cancellations of the July 5 and August 2 meeting, and approved a Special Meeting on July 7.
