The City Council is pleased to invite your participation in a Public Hearing for the following:

WHO:

City of Culver City Current Planning Division

WHAT:

City-Initiated Zoning Code Amendment to Chapter 17.330 – Signs, to comprehensively update various standards, requirements, restrictions and allowances relating to signs (Case No. P2025-0125-ZCA).

WHERE:

REGULAR MEETING – Attend in-person or virtually via Zoom

City Hall – Mike Balkman Council Chambers

9770 Culver Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232

WHEN:

Monday, July 14, 2025, at 7 PM

WHY:

The purpose of the Public Hearing is for the City Council to review and receive public input on the proposed Zoning Code Amendment, which proposes to make a variety of updates.

CEQA:

Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Section 15061(b)(3), the Project is exempt because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the Project, an update to Zoning Code standards relating to signs, will have a significant effect on the environment.


The City Council Agenda and Project staff report will be available for viewing online and at City Hall no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time. Public comments may be submitted BEFORE 3 PM on Monday, July 14, 2025, by LETTER to Culver City Current Planning Division, Attention: Emily Stadnicki, 9770 Culver Boulevard., 2nd floor, Culver City, CA 90232, FAX (310) 253-5721, EMAIL emily.stadnicki@culvercity.org , or PHONE, (310) 253-5727. City Hall hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and closed every other Friday (Closed June 27th, July 4th and 11th). The Project file is currently available to view by contacting the case planner.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEETING PARTICIPATION:

***The public may attend this meeting in person or via video conference.***

Virtual attendance is offered as a courtesy.  Technical difficulties shall not require meeting postponement.

How to Submit a Written Public Comment Prior to a Meeting: Once the agenda is published: Find the active eComment link to the right of the agenda date, then add your comment to the agenda item you choose .  Watch a video tutorial on How to Make an eComment . Written comments WILL NOT be read aloud during the meeting.

How to Attend/Watch the Meeting:

Process for Public Comments for those attending In-Person and Virtually:  Find the meeting link under  "Request to Speak at a Meeting" . Complete and submit the online form. Indicate if you are attending in-person or online and select all the items on which you wish to make a verbal comment. A QR code to the online form will be provided on site for in-person attendees. Verbal public comments are taken at the time the particular agenda item is considered. Requests to speak must be submitted before the start of the public comment period for each agenda item or will not be considered. You will need to attend the meeting virtually in order to be called to speak. Whenever reasonable, speakers will be called in chronological order based on when they registered to speak. Each speaker may address the members of the body for up to three minutes.
