The Planning Commission is pleased to invite your participation in a Public Hearing for the following:

WHO:

Redcar Properties, Ltd. / 5835 Washington Owner, LLC (Applicant / Property Owner)

WHAT:

Consideration of a Site Plan Review (SPR) and Administrative Modification (AM), to allow a proposed 3-story, 43-ft high, ±46,309 sq. ft., commercial/office development, with subterranean parking and associated site improvements (Case No’s. P2024-0082-SPR, -AM)

WHERE:

REGULAR MEETING – Attend in-person or virtually via Webex

City Hall – Mike Balkman Council Chambers

9770 Culver Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232

WHEN:

Wednesday August 28, 2024, at 7 PM

WHY:

The purpose of the Public Hearing is for the Planning Commission to review and receive public input on the proposal described above and consider approval of the request.

CEQA:

Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the project is Categorically Exempt pursuant to CEQA Section 15332, Class 32 – In-Fill Development, because the proposed project is consistent with the General Plan and Zoning; occurs on a project site no more than 5 acres, within city limits, surrounded by urban uses, and which has no value as a habitat for endangered, rare, or threatened species; will not result in significant effects relating to traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality, and can be served by required utilities and public services.


The Planning Commission Agenda and Project staff report will be available for viewing online and at City Hall no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time. Public comments may be submitted BEFORE 3 PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, by LETTER to Culver City Current Planning Division, Attention: Gabriela Silva, 9770 Culver Boulevard., 2nd floor, Culver City, CA 90232, FAX (310) 253-5721, EMAIL gabriela.silva@culvercity.org, or PHONE, (310) 253-5736. City Hall hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and closed every other Friday (Closed August 9th and 23rd). The Project file including the plans are currently available to view by contacting the case planner.

Virtual attendance is offered as a courtesy.  Technical difficulties shall not require meeting postponement.

How to Submit a Written Public Comment Prior to a Meeting: Once the agenda is published: Find the active eComment link to the right of the agenda date, then add your comment to the agenda item you choose .  Watch a video tutorial on How to Make an eComment . Written comments WILL NOT be read aloud during the meeting.

How to Attend/Watch the Meeting:

Process for Public Comments for those attending In-Person and Via Webex:  Find the meeting link under  "Request to Speak at a Meeting" . Complete and submit the online form. Indicate if you are attending in-person or online and select all the items on which you wish to make a verbal comment. A QR code to the online form will be provided on site for in-person attendees. Verbal public comments are taken at the time the particular agenda item is considered. Requests to speak must be submitted before the start of the public comment period for each agenda item or will not be considered. You will need to attend the meeting via Webex in order to be called to speak. Whenever reasonable, speakers will be called in chronological order based on when they registered to speak. Each speaker may address the members of the body for up to three minutes.
