The Planning Commission is pleased to invite your participation in a Public Hearing for the following:

WHAT:

City-initiated Zoning Code Amendment, amending Section 17.330.015 – Definitions, 17.330.040 – Signs in the Public Right-of-Way, and 17.700.010 – Definitions of Specialized Terms and Phrases, of the Culver City Municipal Code (CCMC) as it relates to digital wayfinding signs on public property (Case No: P2024-0083-ZCA).

WHEN:

Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 7 PM

WHY:

The purpose of the Public Hearing is for the Planning Commission to review and receive public input on the proposed Zoning Code text amendment and consider a recommendation to the City Council.

CEQA:

Pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), the Project is exempt because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the Project to amend the Zoning Code will have a significant effect on the environment.


The Planning Commission Agenda and staff report will be available for viewing online and at City Hall no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time.  Public comments may be submitted to the attention of Elaine Gerety-Warner, Economic Development Director, BEFORE 3 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, by LETTER to Culver City Economic and Cultural Development Department, 9770 Culver Blvd., 3rd floor, Culver City, CA 90232, FAX (310) 253-5752, EMAIL to Elaine.Warner@culvercity.org  or PHONE, (310) 253-5777.  City Hall Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and closed every other Friday (Closed 4/19).

Virtual attendance is offered as a courtesy. Technical difficulties shall not require meeting postponement.

How to Attend the Meeting:

How to Provide Verbal Public Comment In-Person or Online: ***New Process***

  • Find the meeting link under "Request to speak at a Meeting" on the City's website. Complete and submit the online form. Indicate if you are attending in-person or online and select all the items on which you wish to make a verbal comment. It is highly recommended that you register to speak prior to the meeting's start time, regardless if you are attending in-person or virtually. A QR code to the online form will be provided on site for in-person attendees. Verbal public comments are taken at the time the particular agenda item is considered. Requests to speak must be submitted before the start of the public comment period for each agenda item or will not be considered. Whenever reasonable, speakers will be called in chronological order based on when they registered to speak. Each speaker may address the members of the body for up to three minutes.
