The City Council and Planning Commission are pleased to invite your participation in a Public Meeting concerning the following:
WHAT:
The City Council and Planning Commission will review and discuss, Planning Commission will recommend, and City Council will direct on a preferred land use map and 2045 growth projections to study further for the General Plan Update (GPU) project. The preferred land use map will inform the Housing Element sites inventory analysis to identify which sites in Culver City can accommodate new residential development. The GPU team will evaluate the preferred land use map's environmental impacts during the environmental review phase, which is anticipated to go through Summer 2022.

The General Plan Update is an opportunity to improve how we manage housing, climate change, transportation, economic growth, and more! The process could result in major changes to things such as citywide land use and zoning, so it’s important that you learn more and get involved.

The June 28th City Council/Planning Commission agenda is now available. Item reports are available for viewing online no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time. The City Council/Planning Commission agenda item reports are available for viewing online no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time. Persons may submit comments BEFORE 12:00 PM on the day of the hearing following the instructions below.
How to Attend the Meeting Remotely: All attendees must Register to Attend on Webex, after which you will receive an email with directions and a link to join the meeting, once it has begun. Watch a video tutorial on how to register on Webex.
For those who wish to speak during the meeting: For those registering in advance to attend the meeting, you must identify the agenda item(s) on which you wish to speak by indicating the section of the agenda followed by the number (for example A-1, PH-2, C-3). At the start of each agenda item, staff will read aloud the names of those who have registered in advance and requested to speak on an agenda item. For those who did not register for the meeting, but are in attendance, you may send a request to speak via the CHAT function by stating your name and the agenda item number. Requests to speak that are received after the start of the public comment period for that agenda item will not be considered.
