Consideration of Extended Stay Hotels

in Commercial Zones


The City Council is pleased to invite your participation in a Public Hearing concerning the following:

WHAT:

Introduction of a City Initiated Ordinance establishing Extended Stay Hotel provisions, affecting Culver City Municipal Code, Title 17: Zoning Code; Section 17.220.015–Commercial District Land Uses and Permit Requirements, 17.320.020–Number of Parking Spaces Required, and 17.700.010–Definitions (Zoning Code Amendment, P2019-0058-ZCA).

WHEN:

Monday, February 8, 2021, at 7 PM

CEQA:

Pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), the Project is considered exempt from CEQA because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the Project to amend the Zoning Code will have a significant effect on the environment.


The City Council agenda item reports are available for viewing online no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time.  Persons may submit comments BEFORE 4 PM on February 8, 2021, by LETTER to Planning Division, City Hall, 9770 Culver Blvd., 2nd Floor, Culver City, CA 90232, FAX at 310-253-5721, E-MAIL to william.kavadas@culvercity.org, or Phone at (310) 253-5706.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEETING PARTICIPATION:

To combat the spread of COVID-19, the City proclaimed a local emergency on March 14, 2020 and issued subsequent public orders beginning March 16, 2020.  In accordance with such orders, City Hall has been closed to the public and in-person meetings have been discontinued until further notice.

How to Submit a Written Public Comment Prior to a Meeting: Find the active eComment link to the right of the agenda date, then add your comment to the agenda item you choose. Watch a video tutorial on How to make an eComment. 

How to Watch the Meeting: You can watch the meeting online, on the City's YouTube channel or on the  City's cable Channel.

How to Attend the Meeting Remotely: All attendees must Register to Attend on Webex, after which you will receive an email with directions and a link to join the meeting, once it has begun. Watch a video tutorial on how to register on WebEx.

NEW: For those who wish to speak during the meeting: Please join the Webex meeting and use the Q&A function to indicate the agenda item for which you wish to make a comment. When the City staff announce it is the time to take public comment, you will "raise your hand" and, when appropriate, you will be prompted to make your comment.
