CULVER CITY COVID-19 EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM


Culver City renters facing financial hardships due to COVID-19 may be eligible to receive temporary rental assistance. Culver City Community Development Department, Housing Division will offer 12- month rental assistance or 3-month rental catch-up to residents who meet the income and COVID-19 impact qualifications.

APPLY BY MAIL

Applicants unable to apply online must request a paper application only on Monday, August 24, 2020 by calling 310-253-5780 or email HOUSING@CULVERCITY.ORG Paper applications must be postmarked and mailed by Monday, August 31, 2020 at 4:30PM to:

Paper applications may also be submitted by August 31, 2020 at 4:30PM to the Housing Division Drop Box located on the Second Floor of Culver City Hall at the above address.

 

Applications sent or dropped off after deadline will not be accepted.

 

Please review all instructions on the landing page to determine if you are eligible to participate in the program. Only submit ONE application per household, address and social security number. You may apply only for either the 3-month catch up grant or the 12-month Rental Assistance Program, not both. Applicants will be selected by lottery.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • LIVE IN THE CITY OF CULVER CITY: Applicants must be a Culver City renter within the Culver City boundaries and zip codes 90230, 90232 or 90066.
  • PROOF OF TENANCY DOCUMENTATION: Applicants will be required to provide current lease or rental agreement. Documentation or statements from Property Owner.
  • MEET EXTREMELY LOW, VERY LOW OR LOW INCOME NCOME LIMITS: Applicants must provide
  • documentation of all household members and household income.
  • ECONOMICALLY AFFECTED BY COVID-19: Applicants must provide documentation that they have suffered a loss or reduction of income due to COVID-19. Applicants must provide documentation of inability to pay rent due to COVID-19 related matters and expenses (i.e.Medical or Childcare).
  • APPLICANTS DO NOT NEED TO BE A US CITIZEN TO APPLY FOR THIS PROGRAM.
