2. West Los Angeles College Campus Closed Through April 16th
West Los Angeles College (WLAC) is closed to the public and essential employees through at least April 16, 2020 due to a COVID-19 case involving personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Community College Bureau assigned to the campus. This closure includes the perimeter of campus – Freshman, College and Sophomore Boulevards. WLAC apologizes for the inconvenience to those who use these roads to exercise. The LASD personnel tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday night, April 11, and is in self-quarantine. Impacted areas will be appropriately sanitized prior to the reopening of the campus. Visit the WLAC webpage for the latest information.
3. Importance of Stress Management
While we take action to lessen the immediate impacts of COVID-19 on our community and our health care system, it is also important to minimize the secondary health effects of this pandemic. Remember to take care of your health. Focus on:
The City of Los Angeles has made free testing available to residents of Los Angeles County, including Culver City residents, who are displaying symptoms of COVID-19. Anyone who is interested in getting tested must first register on the screening website. This first step will determine if you are eligible to be tested. You will be asked to answer basic questions including name, date of birth, address, and whether you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, coughing, and difficulty breathing. After you answer all screening questions, the website (in real time) determines your testing eligibility and will identify the nearest testing site.
