Culver City Transforms Veterans Memorial Building into Vote Center
(Opens Saturday, February 22!)
Starting on Saturday, February 22, Culver City’s Veterans Memorial Building (4117 Overland Avenue) will play host to Los Angeles County voters as a vote center in the March 3 Primary Election.
The 1,100-seat auditorium will be available for Culver City and other Los Angeles County residents to cast their in-person votes from 8 AM to 5 PM February 22 to March 2 and with special hours of 7 AM to 8 PM on Election Day, March 3.
“Culver City, is excited to welcome LA voters to exercise their civic duties and have a say on matters that affect their communities,” said Culver City Mayor Meghan Sahli-Wells. “The Veterans Memorial Building is central to Culver City and will make voting easier and more convenient so every resident can easily access their right to vote.”
The City is providing seven Vote Centers this primary election. Locations include the Veterans Memorial Building, Julian Dixon Library, Mar Vista Recreation Center, Rotary Plaza, Stoneview Nature Center and West Los Angeles College. In addition, next Tuesday, February 25 only, the Culver City Farmers’ Market will host a Mobile Vote Center at the northeast corner of Main Street and Culver Boulevard, allowing you to conveniently shop for farm-fresh produce and locally-crafted artisan foods and exercise your right to vote in the same location.
The Veterans Memorial Building acts as the centerpiece of the Veterans Memorial Complex in Culver City. The center, in operation since 1951, regularly accommodates community, recreation and cultural programs in its 12 meeting rooms and auditorium.
