A brand-new piece of public art has been unveiled in the Village! Titled “Cohabitation,” this vibrant mural was created in collaboration with the City of Claremont’s Public Art Committee and Teen Committee, the Claremont Village Marketing Group, and Arts Bridging the Gap.
The mural reflects the creativity and perspectives of local youth and teens, whose input helped shape the piece. Community members also came together on August 3 to paint the mural, making “Cohabitation” a truly collaborative work of art that celebrates creativity and community.

Cornell Avenue Closure Scheduled for Police Department Construction Project
As part of the Claremont Police Department Women's Locker Room Project, Cornell Avenue will be temporarily closed between Bonita Avenue and Asbury Street through Friday, August 14, to allow for the installation of a new sewer lateral serving the police station. The closure will be in effect from 6am to 5pm on Friday.
Report Irrigation Damage
As temperatures rise, local wildlife may begin searching for water, and the City's irrigation systems can become an easy target. Rodents may chew through irrigation lines, while coyotes and other wildlife may damage sprinkler heads in search of water. These incidents can result in costly repairs and waste significant amounts of water in a short period of time.
If you notice a broken or damaged irrigation system in a City-maintained parkway, median, planter, or park, please report it to the Community Services Department at (909) 399-5431.
