Emergency Rental Assistance Referrals - SGV Home
The San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) is now accepting referrals to its SGV Home Program for renters in need of emergency rental assistance. Eligible households include low-, very low-, or extremely low-income households who have experienced a qualifying emergency within the past 12 months, such as an eviction lawsuit, loss of income, medical emergency, or threat of displacement or housing instability.
After a referral is submitted, eligibility will be determined by the SGVCOG or its service providers. City staff’s role is limited to submitting referrals and does not include determining eligibility or administering the program. Please note that eligibility and referral to the program do not guarantee the provision of financial assistance.
Once a tenant is referred, a service provider will be assigned to work with eligible households to identify appropriate financial assistance and case management needs. Services may include referrals to legal assistance, employment resources, and other supportive services. For more information, including how to request a referral, please visit the City’s tenant assistance webpage via the link below.

Pooch Park - Reopening May 1
The Pooch Park was temporarily closed from Wednesday, April 1 to Thursday, April 30, 2026, for its biannual turf maintenance and rest period.
During the closure, the City's landscape contractor aerated the grass, flushed out dog waste residue, removed invasive weeds, and allowed the turf time to recover. These routine maintenance activities help ensure the park remains vibrant and durable through the warmer months.
Pooch Park will reopen for regular use on Friday, May 1, 2026. For more information, contact Community Services at (909) 399-5431.

DATE CORRECTION Street Improvements - Mills Avenue

The Claremont Colleges Library invites community members to explore its new exhibit, They Called Us Enemy: Japanese American Incarceration During WWII. Inspired by George Takei's 2019 graphic memoir, the exhibit draws from the Library's Japanese American Incarceration archival collections, highlighting the lived experiences of individuals impacted by Executive Order 9066 in 1942.
They Called Us Enemy will be on view at the Mudd 2 library through July 1, 2026, as a part of the inaugural One Book, One Coast program which brings communities together through shared reading, dialogue, and exploration of history.
