E-Motorbike Enforcement
After months of outreach through Claremont Unified School District and City media, CPD has begun targeted enforcement on off-road E-Motorcycles (like Surron and Talaria). These are Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) and are not street legal in California. Per Claremont’s Municipal Code, E-Motorbikes are not allowed in City parks or on trails.
Last week, CPD impounded three OHVs near Claremont High School. If you’re caught riding one, your bike will be impounded. To get it back, you must:
- Pay impound, tow, and daily storage fees;
- Provide DMV proof of OHV registration or one-day moving pass; and
- Transport it home by truck or trailer.
Ride safe. Know the rules!
